Egypt raises fuel prices by 25 piasters per litre
Egypt has increased the price of gasoline in the local market by 25 piasters per litre effective Friday at 10am through the Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee which convened on Thursday.
The new prices per litre are as follows: 6.50 Egypt pounds for 80 octane gasoline, 7.75 pounds for 92 octane gasoline, and 8.75 f pounds for 95 octane gasoline.
The committee however kept the prices of industrial-use Mazut at 3,900 pounds per ton and diesel fuel at 6.75 pounds per litre.
The committee stated that its decisions came in light of the exceptional situation that the world is in due to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
