Egypt ranks 1st in Africa for ADSL internet speed – Ookla report

Egypt ranked first in Africa for ADSL internet speed, achieving a download speed of 84.52 Mbps in February 2025, as per the Fixed Broadband Speed Index by Speedtest, a platform operated by Ookla.

Speedtest by Ookla is a leading platform for measuring and evaluating internet speed and is one of the brands under Ookla, a company specialising in connectivity intelligence, a Cabinet statement said on Sunday.
