Egypt reaffirms support for Comoros in capacity building, investment

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty reiterated Egypt’s readiness to provide technical support, capacity-building programmes, and training for Comoros. He emphasised Egypt’s commitment to developing Comorian national expertise and sharing its experience to support sustainable development. He also highlighted Egypt’s interest in boosting trade and investment ties and encouraging Egyptian companies to explore opportunities in Comoros.
In a phone call on Tuesday with Mohamed Mbaye, Foreign Minister of Comoros, Abdel Aty expressed Egypt’s appreciation for Comorian President Azali Assoumani’s participation in the Arab League Extraordinary Summit held in Cairo on March 4. He commended Comoros’ active role in supporting joint Arab efforts and reaffirmed Egypt’s keenness to strengthen fraternal ties and cooperation, particularly in priority sectors.
The two ministers agreed to proceed with implementing bilateral agreements aimed at advancing relations and enhancing economic and developmental cooperation to meet the aspirations of both nations. They also stressed the importance of continued consultations to reinforce cooperation and coordinate positions in regional and international forums, contributing to stability and development in Africa.
