Egypt records 676 new coronavirus cases, 47 deaths on Tuesday

Egypt reported 676 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total infection tally to 89,078 since the outbreak began in February.

The health ministry also reported 47 new deaths, raising the country’s death toll from the virus to 4,399.

The statement said that 549 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 29,473.

According to Minister Hala Zayed on Tuesday, the hospitals in Red Sea and South Sinai governorates have recorded zero cases of coronavirus recently.
