Egypt records highest single-day number of coronavirus cases and deaths

Egypt recorded 248 new coronavirus cases on Monday, its highest in a single day, taking the toll to 4,782.

In a statement, the health ministry said 20 new deaths took the tally of virus fatalities to 337. But 60 more patients recovered, for a total of 1,236 recoveries, health ministry spokesman Khaled Megahed said.
