Egypt registers 212 new coronavirus cases, 22 deaths on Monday

Egypt registered 212 new coronavirus cases on Monday bringing the total infection tally to 98,939 since the outbreak began in February, according to a health ministry statement.

The ministry also recorded 22 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the coronavirus to 5,421.

809 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 72,929, the statement added.
