Egypt reports 168 new coronavirus cases, its highest daily toll

Egypt reported on Thursday 168 new coronavirus cases, the highest daily toll since confirming the first infection in February, bringing the total to 2,673.

The North African country also revealed 13 new deaths linked to the novel coronavirus pandemic, bringing the total to 196, according to a statement by the health ministry.

Meanwhile, the total number of the fully-recovered cases climbed to 596 on Wednesday, all have been discharged from isolation hospitals, it added.
