Egypt reports record new coronavirus cases of 145 in one single day

Egypt recorded 145 new coronavirus cases on Saturday for its highest tally in a single day, bringing the total to 1939, according to a healthy ministry statement.
The North African country also reported 11 new deaths from the pandemic, bringing the total to 146, said health ministry spokesperson Khaled Megahed on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the total number of the fully-recovered cases jumped to 426 as of Saturday, including five foreigners, all have been discharged from isolation hospitals, Megahed added.
