Egypt’s Industry Minister Tarek Qabil announced Sunday a board revamp of the Egyptian side of the South African- Egyptian Business Council.
As pursuant to the recent revamp, the council is now chaired by Karim Ghabbour – President of Manufacturing Commercial Vehicles Co. (MCV).
The new council will be for three years.
The new board members of the South African- Egyptian Business Council currently include:
- Abdel Aziz Ali Abdel Aziz – Chairman of Qasr Lotus for Jewellery Manufacturing;
- Mostafa Abd El Razek – Chairman of Egypt Gold for Jewellery Manufacturing;
- Taher Gargour – Chairman of Lecico Egypt;
- Hesham El Banhawi – Chairman of BituNil;
- Mohamed Ahmed El Sayed – Chairman of Kapci Coatings;
- Mohamed Saad – Schneider Electric’s President for Africa and Caribbean Zone;
- Mohamed Fathy – Chairman of Unionaire Group;
- Mohamed Waly Mustafa – Regional Technical Director for Leoni Wiring Systems Egypt;
- Sherif El Maghraby – Chairman of Magrabi Agriculture – Mafa;
- Alaa Diab – Chairman of Modern Agriculture Company-PICO;
- Hossam Lashine – Chairman of Nile Kordsa Company for Industrial Fabrics;
- Wagdy Naguib Farag – Chairman Pharma Plast Company;
- Ashraf El Gazayerli – Executive Board Member at Unilever Mashreq;
- Karim El Masry – General Manager of L’Oreal Egypt;
- Kamal Al Raei – Chairman of MAC Carpet Company; and
- Heba Kaf El Ghazal – Atlantic Industries (Coca-Cola Egypt);
Furthermore, the ministerial decree also stipulated that the Council shall submit a half-annual report to the Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Trade, involving its activities, future plans, and suggestions to develop the mutual interests for both countries.
