Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly held a meeting to review key joint work files between the Ministries of Finance and Petroleum & Mineral Resources, focusing on energy security, mining sector development, and investment attraction.
The discussions covered efforts to meet local demand for petroleum products through production and exploration activities, while also maximising the value of petroleum resources to support the national economy. The meeting also addressed policies to enhance the mining sector’s contribution to economic growth.
The meeting also tackled the state’s new and renewable energy strategy, including coordination among relevant entities to ensure an optimal energy mix. The talks explored ways to strengthen Egypt’s position in hydrogen production and energy trade.
The meeting also reviewed regional cooperation initiatives aimed at attracting investments, alongside efforts to maintain energy efficiency and reduce emissions. Additionally, officials examined natural gas and crude oil production levels, as well as exploration and production plans in the Mediterranean.
