Egypt reviews new investment projects, seeks deeper Arab economic ties
Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly chaired a meeting on Monday to review upcoming investment opportunities and ways to strengthen economic cooperation with Arab countries, the cabinet said in a statement.
The meeting, attended by Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk, Investment Minister Hassan El-Khatib and other senior officials, discussed a range of projects due to be offered to investors in the coming period across sectors including industry, energy, and infrastructure.
The talks also explored potential joint ventures with Arab partners in areas such as real estate, agriculture, tourism, and food industries, the statement added.
Madbouly reaffirmed that cooperation with Arab countries remains a cornerstone of regional economic integration, emphasizing Egypt’s efforts to sustain an attractive investment climate through incentives and facilitation measures aimed at boosting capital inflows.
The meeting also reviewed Egypt’s progress, in coordination with the Central Bank, on macroeconomic reforms in monetary, fiscal, and trade policies designed to strengthen the country’s competitiveness and support private sector growth.
