Egypt rolls out instant personal credit reporting on national digital platform

Egypt has rolled out a new digital service enabling citizens to access their credit reports and credit scores instantly via the Digital Egypt Platform, the ministry of communications and information technology announced Monday.

The initiative, developed in partnership with the Egyptian Credit Bureau iScore, was announced at the 29th Cairo International Conference and Exhibition for Technology (Cairo ICT). It aims to expand financial inclusion and give individuals a secure, real-time view of their credit data without visiting banks or financial institutions.

Users can access the service through the Digital Egypt Platform, select Finance and Credit services, and complete verification steps to receive a full credit report, including details of credit facilities, creditworthiness, and performance tracking.

Minister Amr Talaat said the service supports the government’s broader digital strategy by integrating financial services into Egypt’s national digital ecosystem, enhancing transparency and improving citizens’ management of financial obligations.

The move adds to Egypt’s growing portfolio of more than 200 digital services, with further expansions planned to simplify access to financial and government services nationwide.
