Egypt secures EU funding for 26 Mediterranean projects

Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development Rania Al Mashat announced that the country will benefit from 26 projects under the first phase of the INTERREG NEXT MED cross-border cooperation programme, the Egyptian Cabinet reported on Monday.

The initiative, which includes 60 projects across Mediterranean countries, has a total budget of €134 million, with €119 million financed by the European Union (EU).

The funding aims to enhance regional cooperation and sustainable development in key sectors.
