Egypt expects its gross domestic product (GDP) will increase by five percent at the end of the financial year 2017/2018 from four percent during the financial year 2016l2017, country’s the Planning Minister said Monday.
Egypt’s exports are expected to increase to $22.5 billion at the end of the current financial year, compared with the $20.5 billion it reached at the end of last financial year, Planning Minister Hala al-Saeed further said in a statement.
In addition, the government targets investment worth 646 billion Egyptian pounds ($36.5 billion) within the financial year 2017/2018, compared with 530 billion pounds last financial year, she concluded. Source: Reuters
