Egypt Shares Loss EGP 827 Mln At Closing

On Monday’s closing session, the EGX incurred losses of  EGP 827 million as the capital market amounted to EGP 362.309 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 declined 0.44% to close at 5448.99p. EGX20 downed with 0.53% to close at 6330.42p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 edged up 0.38% to close at 454.1 p. Price index EGX100 rose 0.39% to close at 757.9 p.

Trading Volumes and Values

Traded volume reached EGP433.7 million securities, at a value of L.E 79.12 million, exchanged through 20.5 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 167 listed securities; 73 down and 369up while 25 keeping their previous levels.

Investors’ Activity

Egyptians market sellers declined with EGP32.5 million of the total market and EGP 10.7 million net buyers with net equity of EGP  6.79%, 12.12% from the total transactions.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian transactions net sellers seizing 81.09% of total market, with a net equity of EGP 43.2 million
