Egypt, Siemens Energy discuss expanding cooperation at EGYPES 2025

Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawy met with Siemens Energy Executive Board Member Karim Amin on Tuesday, on the sidelines of The Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2025) to discuss strengthening cooperation.

Minister Badawy highlighted Egypt’s efforts to attract investment in the petroleum sector to reduce imports and emphasised the importance of energy efficiency and training initiatives.

On his part, Amin reaffirmed Siemens Energy’s strong partnership with Egypt’s petroleum sector, noting the company’s role in securing fuel and gas for power generation, advancing renewable energy, and enhancing digital transformation and cybersecurity. He also highlighted Siemens’ training and maintenance centre in Ain Sokhna and its academy for occupational health and safety training.
