Egypt signs cybersecurity training deal with Cisco

Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding with Cisco to train 250,000 individuals in cybersecurity and advanced digital skills over the next five years.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat stated that the initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to collaborate with global tech firms to equip young professionals with cutting-edge expertise, meeting international market demands.

Cisco will implement the training through its Networking Academy in partnership with the ministry and the National Telecommunications Institute (NTI).

The programme, offered free of charge nationwide, aims to enhance Egypt’s digital talent pool and cybersecurity readiness.
