The Egyptian government signed an agreement with a consortium led by the Emirati company, Masdar, which includes Infinity Power and Hassan Allam Utilities, to start a project to produce electric energy from wind with a capacity of 10,000 megawatts.
The project’s total cost is around $11 billion and it is set to become the largest wind power plant in the world.
Masdar is an Emirati company based in Abu Dhabi and it was established in 2006. The company is fully owned by Abu Dhabi’s government.
