Egypt sovereign fund to launch $2.5 billion green fund
The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE) is planning to launch a green credit fund to invest in clean energy projects, its chief executive Ayman Soliman announced on Sunday.
Speaking at a conference in Cairo, Ayman Soliman said the TSFE seeks to raise an initial capital of not less than $1.5 billion and up to $2.5 billion to invest in low-carbon energy and green hydrogen projects.
The Egyptian official did not disclose further details about the time of launching the fund yet.
