Egypt’s stocks ended higher on Thursday with gains worth 354 million Egyptian pounds (US$45.2 million).
The market capitalisation has recorded 447.422 billion pounds during the closing session of Thursday.
Indices
Egypt’s benchmark index, EGX30 increased by 0.02 percent to 7267.52 points.
The newly-launched EGX50 EWI index remained with no change at 1211.48 points.
EGX20 dropped by 0.18 percent to 6925.83 points.
In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 declined by 0.53 percent to 389.5 points. The price index, EGX100 sagged by 0.07 percent to 843.21 points.
Turnovers up
On Thursday, the bourse’s trading volume has hit 207.368 million securities, with turnovers closed at EGP 3.096 billion, exchanged through 18,637 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 167 listed securities have been traded in; 80 declined, 44 advanced; while 35 kept their previous levels.
Investors’ Activities
Local and Arab investors were net buyers on Thursday capturing 92.36% and 1.05% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 8.442 million and EGP 11.682 million, respectively, excluding the deals.
On the contrary, the foreign investors were net sellers getting 6.59% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 20.125 million, excluding the deals.
