Egypt-Sudan power grid link flagship costs over $20 mln

Sudan’s power grid link project with Egypt costs Khartoum more than $20 million, Director General of the Sudanese Electricity Transmission Company Ltd (SETCO) Hassan Omar al-Sheikh said on Monday.

In a statement, Sheikh added that transmitting power reaches up to 300 MW at 220 kV.

The volume is planned to hit 3,000 MW at 500 kV, the Sudanese official said.
