Egypt targets completion for updated state ownership policy by March– PM
Egypt hopes to finalise an updated State Ownership Policy Document by March, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said Wednesday, as the government seeks to modernise its approach to managing state-owned enterprises.
“The three-year timeline for updating the policy concludes this December. We have held multiple meetings with all relevant authorities and entities responsible for drafting the new version,” he said.
The final document will incorporate public consultations and stakeholder input to formalise reforms and strengthen governance of state assets, signalling the government’s commitment to attracting investment and improving transparency in state-owned enterprises.
