Egypt is set to build 100 new schools over the period of one year upon recent directive of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, local press reported on Tuesday.
The schools will have an establishment total cost 15 billion Egyptian pounds, partially financed by Egypt’s Tahya Misr Fund.
According to the president, the education sector was given a big share of development and investments over the past years.
Egypt is still facing major challenges due to rapid population growth.
