Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Egyptian Petroleum Day on November 17, commemorating the recovery of the country’s oil fields in 1975.
This year’s celebrations will take place across petroleum work sites, with ministry leaders and employees participating to recognise their contributions to securing Egypt’s oil and gas needs and supporting the national economy.
Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawy said the event reflects “pride and a sense of belonging” in the sector’s achievements over the past five decades. Badawy will join employees at one site, while other leaders will visit additional petroleum facilities to honour the workforce’s role in maintaining the country’s energy supplies.
