Egypt to clinch deal to operate management centre in new capital
Egypt’s Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) plans to sign on Wednesday an agreement with three companies to supply, operate, and maintain systems at the new capital’s management centre.
The three companies are Etisalat Misr, the Egyptian unit of the UAE’s Etisalat, U.S. Honeywell International, and Misr Trade and Investment.
The deal comes as part of ACUD’s plan to mandate the management of its smart utilities to a number of foreign companies.
Also, the state-owned company ACUD seeks to set up new joint ventures with these companies to operate its management centres in the new capital.
The utilities include electricity, energy, natural gas, and communication.
