The oil sector is to adopt a new strategy to increase natural gas delivery rates to 1.2 million homes across Egypt this fiscal year, said new petroleum minister Tarek El-Molla Saturday.
Delivering natural gas to homes is part of the country’s Household Natural Gas Connection National Project.
The expansion in delivering natural gas reflects the state’s care to develop and raise citizen’s living standards by providing fund required to implement the plan.
Tarek El-Molla, former CEO of the state-run Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), was sworn in early Saturday as the new minister of petroleum.
