Egyptian General Authority for Roads, Bridges & Land Transport is set to deliver Suez desert road within the next three months with total cost of 1 billion Egyptian Pounds ($135 million), the authority chief Adel al-Turk said on Saturday.
Al-Turk added that the project is considered to be one of the biggest projects within the new national roads network, noting that the work progress rate has exceeded 90 percent.
He told Amwal Al Ghad that the work on the road has taken place within 18 months; in addition, it is implemented by four big construction firms under the supervision of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority. It includes industrial works and number of new bridges to ease the traffic.
The last phase of the current works on the road is with total length of 70 kilo meters between Suez desert road and the regional ring road, he added.
