Egypt to Finalize Tender to Develop Suez Canal at November-End

Egypt will finalize a tender for the development of the Suez Canal by the end end of November 2013, the Egyptian Minister of Investment Dr. Osama Saleh announced in his keynote speech at Euromoney’s 19th Annual Conference in Cairo on Monday.

He added that the terms of reference for the development of the Suez Canal will be tendered globally.

“No country is taking the lead, it is an Egyptian project and we are going to finalize the first stage by finalizing this tender by the end of this month,” Minister Saleh noted
