Egypt to host 19th Codex Committee on Food Contaminants
Egypt’s Chamber of Food Industries (CFI) and the Egyptian Organisation for Standardisation and Quality (EOS) signed Thursday a cooperation agreement to host the 19th Codex Committee on Contaminants in Foods (CCCF19), boosting Egypt’s role in global food safety.
The agreement, signed at the conclusion of the fourth annual Egypt’s Food conference organised by the CFI, establishes a framework for collaboration on organisational, technical, and regulatory matters related to hosting the Codex meeting.
The move reflects Egypt’s ongoing efforts to align domestic food safety systems with international standards and boost the competitiveness of its food industries sector.
