Egypt to import 120,000 tonnes of US wheat: GASC

Egypt signed a contract to import 120,000 tonnes of wheat from the United States, announced Egyptian General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) in a statement on Tuesday.

The shipment will arrive on 25 April through 5 May, it added.

GASC said said on Monday that it would go back to securing letters of credit within 180 days instead of immediate payment.

The offer was presented by Cargill.
