Egypt to inject EGP 15 bln to speed up Hayah Karima rural development programme
Egypt will allocate an additional 15 billion Egyptian pounds to accelerate the implementation of the presidential Hayah Karima Initiative, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said on Sunday.
The funding will focus on completing the first phase of the initiative, which includes projects in water, sanitation, and essential services in rural villages. Madbouly said the government aims to finish this phase before the end of the current year.
The injection forms part of a broader development plan structured around four key pillars, aimed at improving living standards and accelerating infrastructure development in Egypt’s under-served rural areas.
