Egypt to launch new social protection initiative soon – PM
Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly revealed on Wednesday that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has instructed the government to create a new social protection package, which is currently under development.
Speaking in a press conference, the prime minister said the government, in collaboration with the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Social Solidarity, and other key officials, is working on a comprehensive programme aimed at enhancing social welfare. Once finalised, the programme will be presented to President Sisi for approval and further guidance on its scale and vision, Prime Minister Madbouly noted.
Details of the new package’s details will be unveiled to the public soon, the prime minister stated, promising greater support for citizens in need.
