Egypt to launch new tourism investment opportunities in Assiut – FinMin
Egypt’s ministry of finance said on Monday it will launch a second package of investment opportunities in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Assiut in the coming days, including prime sites overlooking the Nile River. The move is part of efforts to attract sustainable tourism projects and boost regional development.
The ministry said the initiative aims to maximise returns from state-owned assets by converting unused public land into productive investment ventures. Investors, developers, and funds are invited to submit proposals for tourism, entertainment, and service projects that would revitalise the Nile-front area and Assiut’s city centre.
According to the ministry, both sites — transferred to its ownership under presidential decrees — will be ready for handover once competitive bidding procedures are completed.
Further details on the projects and participation requirements are available through the Finance Ministry’s website, the Egyptian Investment Portal, the Egypt Investment Map, and the New Urban Communities Authority’s digital platform.
