Egypt to launch online platform for expat property ownership
Egypt’s Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities is set to launch the official website and implementation plan for the Your Home in Egypt Initiative later today, according to a Cabinet statement.
This initiative enables Egyptian expatriates the opportunity to reserve and purchase residential units across 12 premium projects in the first phase, offering exclusive features and facilities, the statement added.
The first phase, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, includes 5,055 residential units and villas, with some available for immediate delivery and others set for completion by the end of 2025.
The initiative provides exclusive incentives, including discounts ranging from three per cent to 10 per cent off market prices and flexible payment plans of up to 10 years installments, as stated in the release.
The new official website launching today offers an enhanced digital experience. Users can remotely tour units using virtual technology to view details, finishes, and locations before making a reservation.
Information on residential projects, reservation conditions, and secure payment options are also available, including bank transfers, ATM transfers, and card payments, as per the statement.
Minister of Housing, Sherif El-Sherbiny, emphasised the government’s support for citizens abroad to own housing units in Egypt. This initiative aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for urban development and real estate investment expansion.
He stated that the initiative aims to offer housing options for all categories of Egyptians abroad, with a focus on providing a convenient and secure online booking experience and exclusive benefits to strengthen their connection to their homeland.
