Egypt to produce first locally-made washing machine engine in Q1 2019

The ministry of industry and trade is aiming to manufacture a model for the first washing machine engine with Egyptian technology and design during the first quarter of 2019, Amr Nassar said.

the minister added that producing the new model is among the National Program for Deepening Local Manufacture established by Industrial Modernization Center (IMC) and Federation of Egyptian Industries.

This program aims to develop a diversified industrial base of local suppliers, raise benefit rate of industrial investments and optimize the available production capacities, which would increase the added value of the local production.

In line with the government’s sustainable development strategy till 2030, the program aims to offer all support for domestic industries in order to compete with other foreign giants.
