Egypt to see surge in Qatari investments in ‘near future’

Egypt is poised to witness a significant boost in Qatari investments across multiple sectors in the near future, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly announced on Wednesday.

The remarks come after a successful visit to Qatar, where Prime Minister Madbouly represented President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi at the Doha Forum 2024.

During the visit, the prime minister held productive discussions with Qatari leaders, including Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Egyptian prime minister also met with prominent business leaders and representatives from Qatari trade chambers.

“These meetings were highly positive, paving the way for significant Qatari investments in Egypt across various fields,” Prime Minister Madbouly said. “In the coming days, we will see these agreements materialise, strengthening the partnership between our nations, God willing.”
