Egypt’s Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) signed a memorandum of understanding with Tunisia’s Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training on Saturday to deepen cooperation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and promote youth entrepreneurship, the Egyptian Cabinet said.
The agreement aims to expand knowledge-sharing and technical support in launching and developing SMEs, including joint programmes on financing, training, and the creation of business and technology incubators. It also seeks to widen job opportunities and support innovation.
MSMEDA CEO Basil Rahmy said the accord is part of Egypt’s strategy to strengthen regional and international partnerships in the SME sector, while helping open new marketing channels for products in both countries through joint exhibitions and export opportunities.
The signing followed a package of eight cooperation agreements concluded in Cairo on Thursday to deepen Egyptian–Tunisian economic and institutional ties, the Cabinet said.
