Egypt, Turkey sign industrial zone deal
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan witnessed on Wednesday the signing of a land allocation contract for the development of an industrial zone in 6th of October City.
The contract was signed by Osman Arikan, managing director of Polaris Parks and Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport.
The two presidents also witnessed the signing of 14 memoranda of understanding between the governments of the two countries in various sectors, including education, transportation, technology, agriculture, health, and more.
Presidential spokesperson Ahmed Fahmy stated that this historic visit by President al-Sisi to Turkey marks a new milestone in strengthening relations between the two countries, building on President Erdogan’s historic visit to Egypt last February.
This visit aims to establish a new phase of friendship and mutual cooperation between the two countries, both bilaterally and regionally, in light of the significant challenges that require consultation and coordination between them, Fahmy added.
