Egypt, Türkiye aim to raise bilateral trade to $15 bln

Egypt and Türkiye aim to increase the volume of trade from $10 billion to $15 billion within five years, in accordance with the road map to strengthen bilateral economic relations, according to an official statement on Tuesday.

Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry met with his Turkish counterpart Omar Bolat have agreed to establish strong joint cooperation to provide the necessary facilities for investors with a view to increasing mutual investments.

They also will intensify the efforts of joint events through organisations bringing together businesses from both countries, as well as encouraging companies to participate in business forums and exhibitions launched in the two countries.

It is worth mentioning that Turkish investments in the Egyptian market currently amount to about $2 billion, and the value of projects implemented by Turkish contractors is about $1.2 billion.
