Egypt, U.S. discuss cooperation in decarbonisation, green energy
Egypt discussed ways of enhancing cooperation with the U.S. in the field of decarbonisation and the utilisation of green energy on Wednesday.
The meeting was held between Tarek El-Molla, the Egyptian Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister and the U.S. Assistant Secretary for International Affairs, Julie Cerqueira.
El-Molla said that Egypt is seeking to increase reliance on renewable energy. This will contribute to achieving the goals of transition to clean energy and will provide great support for value-added industries.
It is worth mentioning that Cerqueira expressed the U.S. full support for the Egyptian energy sector.
