Egypt, UAE ink MoU to boost regional energy, logistics cooperation

Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawy witnessed on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the ministry, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, and project management firm TCM.

The MoU aims to explore avenues for joint regional cooperation between Egypt and the UAE in the energy and logistics sectors.

Abu Dhabi Ports Group Regional CEO Ahmed Al Mutawa said the agreement reflects the strategic importance of the Egyptian market to the group, rooted in the strong ties between the UAE and Egypt.

He added that the partnership aligns with the group’s commitment to leveraging its expertise in port operations, marine and logistics services, economic zones, and digital solutions to support Egypt’s economic and industrial goals.
