Egypt, UAE launch 1st joint cardiac health programme

Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, witnessed the launch of the first Egypt-UAE Cardiac Health Programme in collaboration with GE Healthcare and Dar Al Ber Society, the Egyptian Cabinet reported on Wednesday.

The initiative aims to improve cardiovascular health outcomes, expand access to advanced medical solutions, and enhance cross-border healthcare cooperation in line with Egypt Vision 2030.

The announcement took place on the sidelines of Arab Health 2025 in Dubai, running from January 27 to 29.

Abdel Ghaffar emphasised that the programme reflects the strong ties between Egypt and the UAE, setting new standards in cardiac care by integrating GE Healthcare’s expertise with Dar Al Ber’s charitable efforts.

The initiative focuses on early diagnosis, advanced treatment methodologies, and capacity building for specialised medical professionals. It seeks to combat the rising burden of cardiovascular diseases, the main cause of mortality in both Egypt and the UAE.
