These ambitious projects are aimed at revitalising local manufacturing and promoting long-term, sustainable growth.
Among the key initiatives highlighted was the development of the Nasr Tire Factory in Alexandria, which will be upgraded in partnership with European companies. Production is expected to begin within two years. Additionally, a new tire factory will be established in Ameriya, in collaboration with a major Chinese company.
The deputy prime minister also announced plans for a solar panel glass manufacturing facility, set to be built in partnership with an Emirati firm. Another significant project involves the production of mini-bus batteries for Nasr Automotive, further boosting Egypt’s automotive sector.
In a bid to enhance Egypt’s public transport infrastructure, Deputy Prime Minister El-Wazir directed the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport to collaborate with Nasr Automotive. The goal is to provide luxury buses for passenger services at new high-speed train stations in emerging cities across the country.
