Egypt, Venezuela forge stronger archaeology cooperation

Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, expressed his enthusiasm for enhancing bilateral cooperation with Venezuela in archaeology and cultural heritage fields, according to a Cabinet statement.

During a meeting with Venezuela’s Minister of Culture Ernesto Villegas, Minister Fathy highlighted Egypt’s willingness to offer its knowledge in museum management, and artefact restoration and preservation.

The meeting aimed to strengthen ties between the two countries in the field of antiquities and to promote mutual cultural understanding, particularly given the Venezuelan people’s interest in Egypt’s ancient civilisation.
