Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawy met with Terry Gebhardt, Vice President for Exploration and Production at Australia’s Woodside Energy, and Chad Ferguson, Head of Exploration in Egypt, on Tuesday to explore opportunities for expanding the company’s investments in the country.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the World Energies Summit in London, focused on potential new projects expected to be announced in the Red Sea, where Egypt is introducing attractive investment frameworks to encourage international participation.
Discussions also reviewed Woodside Energy’s ongoing exploration activities in the Mediterranean, where the company operates as a partner in the North Dabaa and Tiba areas.
