Egypt’s Yasser Al Beltagy Architects (YBA) says it is signing contracts to carry out the engineering designs of 18 real estate flagships, at a cost approaching 30 billion Egyptian pounds ($1.7 billion).
“We are implementing the engineering works of a mega government residential project in New Alamein City, northwest of Cairo,” its general manager Waleed Morsy told Amwal Al Ghad on Monday.
The engineering and consulting firm is currently executing the designs of Maadi View project in El Shorouk City over 136 feddans in favour of Maadi Company for Development and Reconstruction, Morsy added.
The 18 flagships also include six residential, commercial, and administrative projects in the country’s new capital as well as two housing projects in Sixth of October City and Fifth Settlement, New Cairo, he said.
In 2018, YBA won a mandate to carry out a giant bundle of various projects in the new cities and in Eastern and Western Cairo, as part of the company’s plan to expand its business volume in the real estate market, Morsy said.
