EgyptAir reports improved performance in ’24
EgyptAir has revealed its operational performance for 2024, showcasing significant improvements compared to 2023 across several key metrics, as highlighted in an infographic released by the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation.
The national carrier transported 10.289 million passengers in 2024, up from 9.826 million in 2023. This increase was supported by a 15 per cent rise in available seats, which totalled 33,603,386 in 2024 compared to 29,247,467 the previous year.
Operational hours also saw a notable increase, reaching 246,979 hours in 2024, a 9 per cent rise from 227,167 hours in 2023. Similarly, flight hours grew by 10%, with 218,798 hours recorded in 2024 compared to 199,183 hours in 2023.
In addition to these achievements, EgyptAir expanded its network by introducing new direct routes in 2024. These include flights to Taif and Tabuk in Saudi Arabia, Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, and new destinations within Africa, such as Mogadishu (Somalia), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), and Djibouti.
These developments underline EgyptAir’s ongoing efforts to enhance its services and broaden its global reach.
