Egyptian bourse opens Tuesday on mixed note
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:24 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index slid 45.24 points, or 0.28 percent, to 15,876.01 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.25 percentto 797.87 points, while the EGX100 index remained stable at to 2,037 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index dipped 0.5318 to 2,669 points.
Trading volume reached about 10.13million shares exchanged at a turnover of 48.35 million pounds through 811 transactions.
Egyptians investors were net sellers with 1.7 million pounds, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with 1.2 million pounds and 177,300 pounds, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) jumped 1.68 percent to 85.5 pounds.
