A source in the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs asserted that the Egyptian Consulate in Sydney revealed an attempt of repeating vote in the referendum on the New Constitution; mentioning that a number of citizens queued up outside the committee and registered their names to vote on the draft constitution; although they mailed the ballot enveloped.
Other cases have been detected as some citizens mailed repeated envelopes with the same names.
The Consulate General, Ayman Kamel, has referred that the forms, which had been detected, were excluded out of the total count of valid voices. The committee has taken the necessary measures to prove this incident through filing a complaint and notifying the concerned authorities.
