Egyptian couple wins at Manchester Open Squash 2023

Nour El Tayeb and Ali Farag walked out of the Manchester Open 2023 triumphant, becoming the first couple in sports history to win the same major singles title on the same day, twice.

Farag won the title after beating Karim Abdel Gawad, while El Tayeb won her title after beating Nele Gilis in the finals at the National Squash Centre.

This was the first time in six years since the couple have both won the same tournament on the same day, with the last occasion being the 2017 U.S. Open.

The couple celebrated their victory with their daughter, Farida.
